Common Ground

Common Ground refers to circumstances, tensions and transitions. It can also refer to places or moments where there is something in common, yet things are not quite the same. In this year’s BBK annual exhibition, 15 artists from Bremen explored these shared territories. These territories enable cohesion and joint negotiation. However, they can also lead to exclusion and divisions.

The key visual illustrates this state through a colour scheme that creates a clear division as well as opening up both negative and positive spaces. While the freely arranged typography bridges this division.

A poster, an invitation and the exhibition signage were designed for the exhibition.
